Technique - Satin Stitch

Satin stitch is an embroidery stitch used to fill in shapes. Careful alignment of the stitches results in a smooth, satiny look. Long stitches are prone to snagging, so satin stitch isn't a great choice for applications that will receive a lot of wear and tear.
