Make This - Heart Mini-Notebooks (with Free Download!)

If you're anything like me you've already started thinking about Valentine's Day! This little notebook is perfect to tuck in your purse or give to a friend. Designed with the height of 80's stationery chic in mind, there are bits of print on many pages and the binding is tied in a bow, adding to the fun of using it.

Materials:

- print of this page (preferably on a nice quality bright white paper)
- about 12 inches of string - this could be embroidery floss, nylon cord, crochet cotton, etc.
- scissors
- a pin
- a needle - tapestry style with a dull point is the best choice

Print the dowloaded page (don't worry, the watermarks won't make it into the finished notebook!)

Carefully cut out all of the hearts. Do your best to trim off the grey lines.

Choose a cover, fold it so the print will be out. Fold all of the rest of the pages.

Use the pin to carefully put holes inside each of the grey circles.

Thread your needle.

From the outside of the book, stab the needle into the center hole. Carefully work it through all the layers and be sure it all aligns well. If your needle is sharp be careful of the point!

Sew up through to the outside of the book through the top hole.

Sew into the notebook through the bottom hole.

Stitch back up through the center hole, making sure to come out on the opposite side of that center thread from where the tail is.

Even up the ends, and tie the ends together in a bow!
