The “lark’s head knot” – also known as the “cow hitch” “tag knot” “lanyard hitch” or “ring hitch” – is a popular knot for starting decorative knotting/macramé projects. It is also a good way to hang a tag – put a string through the hole in a tag and tie it into a loop, then use a lark’s had knot to attach it to your bag handle so it can be removed without cutting.
