This pretty pattern is a great way to upgrade the ribbing on a knitting project. By adding rows of lace in the ‘knit’ part on the right side of the pattern you make an otherwise functional part of a sweater or other project a lot more interesting. The pattern is only two rows long so it memorizes quickly.

Eyelet Lace Ribbing Pattern
Multiple of 8 stitches + 6
Row 1 (right side): *k3, yo, slip 1, k1, psso, k1, p2* repeat until last 6 stitches, then k3, yo, slip 1, k1, psso, k1
Row 2: *p3, yo, purl 2 together, p1, k2* repeat until last 6 stitches, then p3, yo, purl 2 together, p1
Work rows 1 and 2 until you’ve reached your desired length.
