Feather End Caps

This is a quick way to add a nice finished end to a feather. It will accommodate any size or group of feathers, and you can easily add a head pin into it while gluing so the feather can hang from anything.

Supplies:
– round nose pliers
– wire cutters
– jewelry cement
– feather(s)
– wire – this can be any sort of jewelry wire in any color, this is a 20 gauge brass

Make a tiny loop at the end of the wire using your round nose pliers.

Make sure the feather(s) fit into the loop properly. If they don’t, adjust it or cut it off and start over.

Continue building up the coil until it’s the length it needs to be to cover what needs to be covered. Be sure to keep building the coil at the same point in the pliers so the loops are a consistent size. This may take a little practice.

When the coil is right cut it from the wire and glue it onto the end of the feather!

You can also use another piece of wire to make a small eye pin to glue in with the feather.

Let the glue set for 24 hours than hang it from something!
